Default Run times 36v vs. 48v

36v vs 48v .People who run carts in our campground say that 6v runs longer than 8v and 8v runs longer than 12 v.Our local golf cart store advertises new
cars these are just examples 36v carts 90min. run time 48v 120 min. run time?

I do understand that battery life times are different: 6v longest than 8v , 12 etc.

As far as the individual batteries are concerned, the 6v batteries are usually offered in higher Amph ratings, so it does not have anything to do with the actual voltage, but more about how the batteries are manufactured and marketed.

As far as 36v vs 48v packs, the 48v pack will have more stored energy than a 36v pack.

For example, a 150 Ah 48v pack has the same stored energy as a 200 Ah 36v pack. If the Ah were the same, the 48v would have a lot more running time than the 36v pack.

And ohms law. The 48v cart is consuming less amperage to produce the same (equal) energy of a 36v system.
