No, not real hilly, but I want the cart for the ability to haul 4 people through woods (some ditches) and to drive slow (hunting).

You Have a remanufactured control. Basically the stock control repair and boosted to 400a. It's probably not gonna cut it for long... in my experience.

I installed a heat sink from an old computer on mine on the frame rail opposite the controller and put a computer fan on it and it helps a lot. At least for me. and mine is a 02 and the motor gets smokin hot but i don't worry about that.

After learning more, I now realize that I have a regen IQ. I am going to order some larger cables (maybe 2ga). Scottyb is correct; it has a re-manufactured Curtis controller that was originally 250amp but was beefed up to 400amp. Obviously, this isn't the most desired controller, but would it hurt anything to run it until it fails? Also, if I keep it, will this controller work okay with a new motor? The one I currently have is a stock 3.75 hp. I am thinking about buying a 7-10hp torque motor.
