Default What is draining my battery?????

I have a 48 v ds and have had battery issues ever since I bought it. The batteries would discharge as it sat. So I bought a dpi float charger figuring that would keep them where they should be and no go. If I leave it a while the charger will not be on and the batteries completely discharge. There is no radio or anything. It has a digital volt meter and unique ignition switch from Scotty b. The only other electrical I did to it was add brake lights but I am tired of going through sets of batteries with this thing

Get am ammeter and measure the current draw when the cart is off. Track down what is drawing current and fix it. This should not happen. You should not get more than at most 1% loss per day.

That was what I thought. The whole thing is like a big power dump. Lol

That would still leave the question:
Why is the DPI accusense charger not working?

Did You run a new 10ga wire from the back of the charger receptacle negative socket directly to pack negative when You bought the DPI charger?

DC reducers do draw some amperage to run, that is why the unit I sell has a power switch so when the key is off the reducer is off. If your unit does not have this feature you can modify the circuit with a power relay install.

Which DPI charger did you buy?

The 15 amp works no different than the stock charger did.

The 17 amp requires that you rewire the cart by installing a new wire straight to the neg side of the batt pack in order for the charger to work without the OBC...
