Default New Alltrax 500 Controller with Plum Quick Bandit Motor

Hey guys – I wanted to provide a quick update on my recent upgrades. I also am having an issue that maybe someone can help me with.

First off – I want to think Scotty for sending the Alltrax 500 amp controller and 400/ Solenoid. He programmed the controller to max out between the 400–440 amp range. I paired it with my Plum Quick Bandit motor and can't believe the results.

The cart I am using is a 2011 Club Car Precedent. It has the 6" Rhox A-arm lift kit, 12 inch tires, front grill, and rear seat to give you an idea of the weight.

Prior to the new controller and solenoid I was consistently doing 23 mph with only me on the cart.....the pedal was not very responsive and there was very little torque. After installing the new controller and solenoid I am consistently doing 26 mph (28mph on a slight decline) and the thing takes off like a dragster.

I do not feel any Regen, but I believe that is due to the Bandit motor upgrade.

When installing the controller I decided to install it in a vertical position, however, because of the position of the controller I had to extend the harness in order for the connection to clip in. Overall I probably could have done it differently, but cutting the harness was easier than getting longer 2 gauge cables. It also made the most sense to me for dissipating heat.

The car is running fantastic however, when I plug the charger in it does not recognize or activate the charger. I have tried an OBC reset, checked the fuse in the charger, and run the cart a few times. Can anybody give me any suggestions as to why it is not charging?

Also, does anyone recommend a particular type of disc brakes? Definitely going to be needed.

Thanks

Do you have your main Neg cable or stud going through the obc?

Yes, the 2 gauge wire is running through the OBC and worked prior to the install.

Take 2 quick voltage readings to make sure the wires are connected properly.
From Pack Negative to positive socket on charger receptacle = Pack Voltage

From Positive socket on charger receptacle to sense wire socket on charger receptacle = approximately (Pack Voltage - 5v)

About the regen - I think it should still be working..... try side stepping the gas so it slams up at speed. Feel anything?

If that Precedent was an Excel (PH Serial #) and You ordered the Bandit motor for Excel carts, You may want to disable the Regen brake entirely and go with the mechanical/hydraulic brake option.

Hi Sergio – I am not getting a reading from the negative of the battery pack to the positive of the charger receptacle.

I am getting a reading from the positive of the battery pack to the receptacle.

You forgot to connect the RED wire from the charger receptacle to the battery pack Positive battery terminal.
