Default 6:1 gear set on Ebay

I see there are new 6:1 gear sets for the G2-to 95 G14 's for sale on on Ebay for $150 plus shipping.Seems like a low price. Not familiar with the producer.

6:1 gears really kill torque on any inclines. Unless you are going for top speed records, and have plenty of power, these will be unsatisfactory. You may be ok with your clone, since i hear it has way more power than stock motor.

I totally agree with you.Had I not lifted and went to 24" tires the 6:1 would have probably worked out fine. But as it stands at 25 mph I am 3700 rpms. With 6:1's 25 mph would be 1800 or so.That really is the point. Some body with a clone or vanguard powered yamaha and stock tires with and governed engine this might be ideal.Or with the Vtwin predator with plenty of torque and not a lot of rpms.
