Default Re: Cart won't go - Cable problem?

Best trick I ever learned on a car show. "Cuban Chrome", these guy's work with basic tools and old parts. When you have a rusted seized bolt, like the pedal you have, heat it with a torch till glowing red, then poor water on it and a slight hit of the hammer, it will come out. Amazing...I've fought those for years, because most people are to cheap to buy all new parts like Mike Mac. If you plan on using the stock "main" arm, use a punch to knock out the 2 bushings. Wire wheel the rust out. Install the bushings gently with the collar a washer and the bolt to "seat them into the arm. Aply grease or antiseize to the outside of the collar and bolt and adjust the cable equalizer bolt nut to correct brake pedal tension/fell. Yamaha does referance maintance to the pedal and king pins, but I've NEVER seen anyone high pressure wash the brake area and lube it, even if it was just WD-40 Please don't blame it on the car....just the lack of maintance. JUst my .02 worth

I redid mine and it got sticky again. I took it out and drilled it out to clear out the junk and fit the bolt with a little room (not binding up). Then filled with grease again and installed. Not had any issue now.
