G22 Gas Cart Tire recommendation
I am looking for the largest tire size I can put on 05 G22 to get a little more clearance and a little better traction than normal stock cart tires. I will be putting a street/turf type tire. What tires do ya'll recommend?

Re: G22 Gas Cart Tire recommendation
Most carts will fit a 20" turf tire such as used on lawn equipment, but will not fit a 20" atv tire as the tread sticks out more and often those tires are more rounded in shape. Most carts fit a 20x8, some fit 20x10 on stock rims but really tight and some will not or hit when turning/etc.
Turf traction tires help a lot on grass and dirt compared to stock tires. The lawn tires' weakness is they are 2 ply and can get punctures when riding in the wild. ATV tires are 3 or more plies, or rated for more and are much more durable off road. Lawn tires can be found cheaper of course. You can also find posts here some in the members section I've seen on using larger wheels and the metric tires (street tires) and how big fit what carts with no lift, if you go that way. |
