Question 2012 clutch issues, is it common & what's the fix?

What's the deal with the clutch on a stock engine?
I looked at a cart and it gets stuck closed, have to hit it open to restart the cart as it's locked closed a bit.
I did some reading and it seems a lot of yamahas of this years have clutch issues like this.
What's the fix and price to fix?
What's a new clutch cost and how long will it last?
Is there a better clutch to buy and it's price?
This is all for a stock Yamaha engine in referring to.

You could buy a Plowmans kit
New upgraded clutch and some other stuff
30 or mph to boot

I'll second the Plowmans route, there really isn't anything better out there for Yamaha mods than the stuff Don is putting out (other than a Big Block but that's a whole new Ballgame) ... If You go with the "Hot Setup" Don will cut You a break on rebuilding your drive clutch if You send it in, BTW ...
