Default G29 Rebuild

I am going to install a .25 piston gasket kit. I have basically no compression.
Where could I get the torque specs for putting it back together.

Any helpful tips and tricks with this job from the experts?
I did get the diagram of cam, crankshaft, and balancer line up from another post.

I got motor out of golf cart last night. Will start breaking it down Sunday when I get back home.

Thanks for the help

First will be getting the clutch off. There's a special puller bolt for that & it's real hard to do without it.

Hi cgtech,

I saw the tool about 50 bucks from what I could see. You every seen it done this way with water and Teflon tape.

A convo I had with a person about buying the clutch tool vs making one

M14X1.0 bolt. 2-3 inches long And a piece of 1/4 inch round stock.

Thank u, that'll be cheap as I have the round stock just needed the exact bolt size

I drilled up the bottom of the bolt about a inch. Then put grease on the stock and inserted it in the drilled hole

Ok... the grease will help pop it off correct? What about re installing it?

That's so simple, yet not at all what I would have thought to do.

That trick unfortunately won't work on a yamaha. The clutch body has a set of threads that the bolt threads must pass through before they reach the the threads that actually secure the clutch to the crankshaft. Yamaha clutch does not have that. Notice how far the bolt head is from the clutch in the videos? I'm sure the bolt doesn't thread 4" into the end of the crank. If the bolt were in the crank, it would not be applying any Hydraulic force to remove the clutch, only force into the threaded hole in the end of the crank. Think about it. But, that is a nice feature on that snow machine that would be sweet in a Yamaha.

Will try that trick black death.

Anybody know where I could get the torque settings. All I see in the owners manual is spark plug, drain plug and wheels.

A service manual will have all of that.

Let me know if you do this as I need to pull mine off but mines still in the cart.
If the weather clears up I'll go buy this bolt and try it soon
