Just a quick follow up. I sent the controller to Jason's golf carts for a rebuild. Quick turnaround and I think it was just north of $200. The cart runs great now.

Thanks for the update
Did a G-14 with a rebuilt controller right before I headed back to AK.
Ran ok, not a speedster. Nice looking golf cart

I've read that the g14 & g16 have weak controllers & F/R switches .
Look like they'd be nice carts to upgrade to 48 v
Leave the 36 volt motor, add 48v controller, solonoid ,
get good speed & torque

I have a very similar issue with my cart, and would like to try bypassing the Controller. However, my motor's markings are near-impossible to read. Can you please tell me which is the A2 post, as seen from the battery compartment? Is it the outer post on top, or on bottom? Thanks in advance.

A1 & A2 are the terminals closest to end of motor.

Understand that the A posts are toward the end of the motor. My question is, when the motor is installed in the cart, is the A2 post on top or on the bottom?

Thanks again!

I’ve got the exact same issues with my g16e. I’ve tried everything and even the test for the motor that you wrote about. Got full immediate power same as you. Did you replacing the controller solve your issues. Any help is appreciated
Thanks
