Brad,
The pictures were fine. Having the exact same charger I was able to see how it fits very easily. I’m going to use something very similar myself. Maybe someone else has some idea of the amount of heat generated by the transformer.

Just finished installing the 9012 replacement controller board. Works like a champ and all I had to change were two connectors on the small red and black wires to fit the new board and install it in the frame. I used one of the existing mounting holes and drilled three new holes in the front cover. I used four small fiber washers as standoffs to insulate the board from the charger frame. Be carful that the mounting hardware doesn’t contact the printed circuit board film or it will short out. Many thanks to all for your advice. Total cost was less than forty bucks as opposed to over 150 for the original controller board and relay. I would also advise that if anyone has a problem with the relay just go ahead and change the board also. It’s about the same cost as just the relay and in my case they were both bad. I’m going to try and attach some phots to show how I did it. Thanks again for all the help.
