Default D style vs Sb 50?

I have a Stanley multi volt charger with the ability to use both d style and sb 50 plugs. I just bought a 1994 medalist with the original sb 50 port missing and nothing in it's place. Is there any benefit to installing a d style port vs the original sb 50? We might eventually be upgrading this to a 48v in the future if that makes a difference.

No advantage. The SB50 connector is quite capable of 48v charging and costs considerably less than the Ezgo D plug model

I’d also suggest going with the SB 50. Not worth cutting the metal body either.

Awesome, thank you for the reply. I'm pretty sure we'll be ordering from you for some other things. Entering the rabbit hole of a rear seat/lift/23" tires and realizing that this equals upgrading the controller, solenoid, and cables.
