Default '97 Carryall lift options

I tried searching and didnt find an obvious answer. I picked up a 97 gas carry all that I have stripped down to rehab. This is my first cart "experience"...in looking for a lift kit, it would seem that the DS and Carryall use alot of the same parts. I am wanting to install a dash and a lift, are the DS parts compatible with the Carrall??

TIA, Brian

Yes they use the same parts. I used a steeling 6" lift on my carryall. They said on their site it doesnt fit, but I had no issues at all. The only thing I had to do that wouldnt apply to a DS is remove the rear sway bar. Otherwise it was straight forward and worked great.

The only thing that would cause a real conflict is if your carryall has front brakes. Mine did not.

Dash is identical

Depends if your cart has front brakes or not. I think Jakes had a lift kit for the carryall and other models with front brakes, but it's the only one I've seen.
If you don't have front brakes, pretty much any spindle or A-Arm or Long Arm lift for a DS will work.

Yes as mentioned above. If you do not have front brakes any ds lift kit will fit. You may have to remove rear sway bar if yours has one, my 97 gas carryall 1 does not have a sway bar. I installed jakes 6” double a arm lift with no issues. If you have front brakes jakes sells front brake kits to use with their lift kits but they told me all their brake kits are out of stock at the moment until atleast June.
