Charger Receptacle
I have an 89 EZGO Marathon (36v). I’ll likely be replacing the charger that came with it in the near future. The current charger uses a crowfoot connector to plug in the cart. When I buy a new charger, do I need to stick with the same plug type or can I just get any charger and replace the receptacle in the cart to match? Are there any limitations in doing this? What is the best type to have?

Re: Charger Receptacle
Just buy a charger with the crow foot plug or switch the cord from your old charger to the new one.

Re: Charger Receptacle
Crow foot was the most reliable style ever made. I think it was replaced for 3 basic reasons.
1- it requires a little effort to fully plug in, old folks dont like that. 2- it has been used for 36v & 48v applications, dummys could do voltage wrong with wrong charger. 3- it's just too dang good, cant make any money on something that basically never fails. |
