Starter Generator not turning off
2006 club car precedent. The buggie got into salt water at the beach. Clutch was making some noise so I pulled the clutch and rebuilt it. Replaced all the belts etc. I noticed the starter generator was making noise as well so I replaced it while I had everything exposed.
Once I got everything back together and started the buggie the starter generator continued to run. I turned off the key, disconnected the battery cables, removed the white wire to the starter generator. Cut the gas off and it finally died after a few minutes. Thinking the solenoid or micro switch. Not sure how to trouble shoot this without throwing parts at it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Starter Generator not turning off
I would think if it was the solenoid, it would have cut off when you unhooked the battery.

Re: Starter Generator not turning off
Update: took starter off and found a cut wire. Spliced it back together and it is running like a top
