Default 92 motor swap info

Hello, I have a 92 Tranquility cart with gas motor. The engine is TOTALY SHOT. I think there may even be pieces missing ????

Anyway I wanted to know what would be the smallest engine recommended to swap into one of these?

I'm only using it to putt putt around the property or go up the road to check the mail once in a while, so I'm not looking for speed or performance, ( my wife says i'm getting to old for that anyway).

I have access to a couple different B&S motors but wanted to see what guys/gals more familiar with these think.

Thanks.

I'd stick with a 420/13hp style engine. Electric start and 1" output shaft makes clutch selection easier. The smaller engines have smaller output shafts and youd be stuck with like a 30 series torque converter. The smaller engines will move the carryall just find but clutch selection will limit to skinny belts, which are too small.for the stock driven clutch.

OK thanks.

I have a 10 horse available which really isn't any difference. I will have to measure the shaft, I remember seeing that a 1" shaft seemed to be preference, but I talk to a retired machinist who has a shop set up in his basement and said he could make me a sleeve from 3/4 to 1" or whatever I would need. I think it's time to get out the torches, and duct tape and do some experimenting.

Hold my beer and watch this.
