Default 2008 YDRE no clicks, no movement. Reed switch?

Problem started with stopping while driving, flipping the run/tow switch would get it going again. Now the backup buzzer works but no movement and no clicking from the solenoid. Best I can tell there is no ground at the solenoid. I know EZGO carts have reed switches not sure about Yamahas. But from the research I've done, that could be the problem.

Thanks, I kinda figured that. If there was 1 I couldn't find it and none of the reed switch references online are about Yamahas. What else would most likley cause the lack of ground at the solenoid?

I'm learning a lot by searching this site. I Need to check the solenoid ground with the pedal depressed. That's not the way I was testing.

No ground at the solenoid with the pedal depressed. What does the 3rd wire on the charging receptacle do? What do I need to check next?

I've been following hoggin03's thread. My stop switch checks good. But I have only 5 volts at my pedal.

I'm not where the cart is right now, but if memory serves the red black wire is the solenoid ground. So, if it's not shorted my problem is the controller?

Most often yes...I have seen the solenoid not work if the motor has a short as well though, hard to tell without taking motor out and checking brushes but you can ohm between motor terminals...should have continuity between two A terminals and Two F terminals but not between each other...such as meter on F1 and A1 should not show continuity but F1 and F2 should...this is without wires going to it of course...If motor checks out I would say your controller has failed
