1987 ds won’t turn over.
I just picked up a 1987ds according to my serial number. It currently has a toggle switch ignition wired in that I plan on switching to a key, but I can’t get it to start. I can get it to turn over if I jump the starter solenoid, but that’s it. I’m new to golf carts so any help is much appreciated.

It's anyone's guess as to how that ignition switch was wired up. Here's your wiring diagram:
