Help converting cowl cap on Marathon
Hi all. I needed a new cowl cap in the front of my 89 Marathon gasser. I found an online company who sells a "kit" that gets you the lights, amber lights, cowl cap, and hardware to convert to a headlight cowl. I am good enought to make solid conections and wire this up, but my problem is that the headlights just cant fit this cowl cap, same for the amber lights, they cant fit, but maybe I'm wrong. Heres the lights for the correct part number cap...
Headlights (Hobbs brand) part number 20209G3 Marker ambers 20570G2 Cowl Cap 27147G01 If I just need brackets etc, let me know, just don't want to accuse or bug these guys if I am wrong!! Thanks, Keith |

Re: Help converting cowl cap on Marathon
the headlights push in from the front and a bracket screws to back of the light and pushes on the back of the cowl to hold them in.

Re: Help converting cowl cap on Marathon
OK... so I need the bracket, which they should also include in their " upgrade to new cap and headlights" kit.... Fair enough, how do the amber markers mount, mine have 2 holes, top and bottom of the rectangle hole in the cap, the marker has one mount bolt in the middle..... thanks!!!!!!
