Default Stumpped

Fitted the new drive belt ( thanks for the tips) went pretty easy except for the following; cart starts right up but zero actuation of the clutches. The bloody belt remains motionless whillst the drive pulley spins, the driven pulley awaits input. What am I missing ?
Thanks guys,

Chris.

When you run the motor the front (drive) clutch should close completely at oh...,1800 rpm, or so, with or without the belt. 1800 is an example, it is probably higher. The sheaves should slam shut on the belt at his rpm.
Either you're not reaching a high enough rpm to activate the drive clutch, the clutch is bad and not engaging (closing) on the belt, or the belt is too long and/or thin to be grasped by the sheaves. One of those three. tony

Thanks Tony, I got it sorted. You were right about the RPM's, I adjusted the slack out of the throttle cable and she is running very nicely.
