G14 Starter Brushes
Can anyone help me with instructions on replacing the brushes?

Take the starter/generator out. Remove the four or six screws (cant remember which) on the end of the generator. Pull out the end cap. You'll see the old brushes. Unscrew the philips for each one (watch how they come out) and screw in your new brushes back in the same way. Before you put the new brushes in, tap the generator a few times lightly with a screwdriver handle. Lots of black dust will come out. DO NOT BREATH that dust! Its NOT healthy!!

I have to do this also on my G2/9. is it the same procedure? and what about using an air nozzle to blow out the dust? or some canned air? Is this ok? or too much pressure?

Wear a dust mask and goggles. Don't breathe it. I've used brake cleaner before to clean them. Just wear protective eye wear, gloves, mask, etc...
