im not a know it all but 1st thing i would check is compression,if its 85 or more great,then go to the carb,also while the carb is off hold your hand over the intake an see if its pulling vacume,mine had the crank seals blown an would do the same thing,hope this helps an keep us posted.

I sprayed mixed gas into carb to see if it would start. Used old lighter fluid container. It did. Try it. I also stuck fuel line into little container to see if fuel pump worked. It did. It moved on me. Jack rear up for safety. Just to see before I spent more money. Keep me posted we can help each other since we have exactly same model and year.
