PB 6 Install

Got my PB-6 hooked up.Really easy.Plenty of pedal travel with just a small adjust on the pedal adjuster. Used the white and yellow wires and did not use the purple. Works GREAT,nice and smooth.

Just keep it dry down there. If it gets wet it will stop working.

That's why I took the harder route and mounted mine up top. This way it won't get wet.............................

Mine is mounted on top of the frame. Where is yours mounted?

right where v-glide was mounted standing on edge to keep it at least hard as heck to get wet........................

That is where mine is mounted,I used 1 of the v glide mounting holes.I put it there so it would not get wet.I am going to put a piece of metal under the frame for a little more protecion. It is standing straight uo.Thanks http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/7783/picture165f.jpg

I tried the link with the pics but imageshack is denying. I'd like to some pics of how other people have mounted them so I can get an idea of the best way.

Also, when I was just fitting the pb-6 to see how I could mount it, I hooked up the multimeter to make sure that the arm was going far enough back to hit 5k ohm. The most I could get the arm to move back with the throttle bar connected was about 4300 ohms. So I guess I want to be sure that when I mount it, it's going to the 5k ohm mark.

I think I finally found what I was looking for in some other threads. I had to use the google site search instead of the search built-in to the forums.

I will probably go with the design that scotty had posted last October. It looks like it keeps it dry and solves the problem of moving the arm enough.

Yes I finally finish the design and got it to manufacturing. The Conversion kit involves a 2:1 bell crank that plugs and plays with the stock throttle and then a second bracket that the pot mounts to above and behind on the frame. The kit comes with an adjustable throttle rod and you are correct you do want to test to be sure you are getting a little over 5K but not more than say 5500.
I have seen them go to 6k and the controller just drops the signal...as it's out of range!
