Default Volt edge batteries

Does anyone use or can tell me if Volt Edge batteries are any good. The salesman is telling me they are made by Trojan, not sure if I believe him on that one. The are 205 amp hour batteries and I can get them for $79.99.

I am running a 97 txt series 36 volt with a plum quick purple motor set up for torque and a 500 amp controller (thanks to scoyttyb). I have 2g cables on it also.

A quick google search didn't show anything about Trojan making these batteries.

I just had a dealer tell me about Volt Edge made by Trojan. I started a thread before I found this one. Can`t find anything about them.

Afetr some phone calls and investigating these bateries are manufactured by FVP not Trojan(came directly from FVP themselves)

Are they any good? Anybody ever purchased them? I may have to be a guinea pig on these.

I've never even heard of Volt Edge batteries, but most of all, I wonder if putting 205AH batteries in a cart set up for torque is a wise move.

The 500A controller, 2Ga wire and a torque motor will probably suck them dry quickly.
And heavily drained batteries don't score high on actuary tables.

Just my $0.02.

For the most part I'm still looking for the exception.
