Default DCS Cart will not go!

I have a DCS cart that will not go. We have installed new batteries, checked cables and they are good. When you select forward or reverse, the cart will act like it want to go, but will not move. It just rocks back and forth a little. Any suggestions will help.

Thanks in advance.

There is a DCS trouble shooting guide at the beginning of the forum. Most likely it can help you locate your problem.

Thanks. I found the info after I posted. Seems I have a bad controller that is grounding itself out. the current controller is a Curtis. Any suggestions for and affordable replacement?

Controllers are notorious on the DCS carts. Replace it with an Alltax. First decide if you are going to make any other mods, then pick your controller based upon that plan. I would recommend, at minimum, an HD F&R switch, Alltrax controller, HD solenoid and heavier guage, (lower numerically) wires. That's the advise I followed and it works like a champ. It's not cheap, but it will be beneficial in the long run.
Call or email any of the custom build sponsors and they'll guide you in the right direction.
