Default Shuttle Roof Support

I stayed at a hotel a couple weeks ago and they had a shuttle 6 they were using to move people around. The roof was like the one on my shuttle but unlike mine, which tends to cave in, they had metal supports to maintain the roof shape. These are not the supports that attach the roof to the cart or the metal ring that runs arounds the perimeter of the roof, but a metal curved bracket that runs left to right and supports the roof from caving in.

Anyone know where to get these supports?

I don't know about the supports. I bet you could do the same thing with crossbars from a Jeep Cherokee (XJ) roof rack, though. They are about the right length and shape to do what you want.

Managed to snap a picture of the support bar, although I wish the decal was legible.

Anyone know where to get one short of having it custom made?

Looks like a piece of 1x6 would do the job. Use a large piece of corrugated and cut out a template. Lay the template on the 1x6 and cut it out with sabre saw.

Why not use corrugated plastic, like the stuff you see used to make real-estate sign's, but sandwich a couple together for each support? It would be very light, rigid & strong.
