How to test cart without buying new batteries?
I came across an ezgo txt. The person that gave it to me says that it was working but needed new batteries before it sat up for over a year. I want make sure the cart works before i spend 600 on batteries. Can i use a 12volt to c if it moves? What about if i use 4 8 volts? Or should i buy the batteries then start trouble shooting if there are any problems?

Re: How to test cart without buying new batteries?
Welcome to BGW!
I have bought many carts like that. Generally they all run when fresh batteries are installed. A few require alittle help. And some have additional issues like worn F&R or bad cables... just maintenance stuff. If your goal is a running cart just get the new batteries and go for it. Be sure to clean up the trays when you swap out the batteries. |

Re: How to test cart without buying new batteries?
Other wise you can string 3 12v car batteries together in series (+ to -) and just see if it will turn the wheels forwards and back on jack stands... but don't use them to test drive. It is hard on the cart and the car batteries.
