Fender Flare Pics
Jerj7907,
Here's the photos as you asked. I installed my own fender flares. Here's what I know. - I used stainless steel nuts and bolts with nylon lock nuts. The plastic christmas trees that came with the set did not have enough holding power for me. -I used some very thin weather stripping along the contact point with the body. No matter how tight you get it, it will still allow a little water thru that looks bad. -It is a 2-man (or a man and woman in my case) job. It is just too difficult to hold the fender flare absolutely tight while drilling the holes. I worked on the front by myself. The back are much better with the help of my wife. -My wheel offset may not be exactly the same (see pics. I notice that the front seems to stick out a little more that the rear. It's ok for the time being as I have other items I want to do first. Went to the local dealer and took a bunch of photos before starting the install. |

Re: Fender Flare Pics
In my case it was a one man ( and several beverages ) job. I was on vacation last year and was on the fence about buying them and my wife said NO!!. Until it rained and the wheels which set out quit a bit kept slinging water on HER and then she saw things my way. I used the plugs on mine cause I was in a hurry to keep the wife dry....

Re: Fender Flare Pics
I can't remember the exact name brand or vender, but these look exactly the same with the cutout for the RXV rear bumper on the fender flare.

Re: Fender Flare Pics
LOL, yup. Or...you order them without the wife knowing, install them, and then beg for forgiveness... Your plan is probably easier.....lol
