2004 Ez Go click when you hit gas pedal
My 2004 EZ GO clicks when you hit the gas pedal. The batteries are charged and the headlights work. What could it be? Solenoid?

You can switch it to reverse, but it still clicks. Almost like a wire is bad, but they are all on tight.

Ok set your meters to volts >36 and put red lead on side of solenoid with wire going to battery, other lead on battery with black main wire on battery(the one not connectioning one battery to another..verify 36 volts at least...then try the other large post on solenoids other side after you hear click with pedal still depressed...is it 36 volts? By the way it's recommended carts rear tires are lifted in case of accidental take-off

A simple test is to connect the two large post on the solenoid with key off...then turn key on with rear tires raised and hit accelerator pedal...if it runs then you have bad solenoid...
