Here is a link to the same thing roughly at granger... Different brand same color type system for gage size. I am going to go down to the local Granger and take a look at them...

For folks that want to do it old school, I did a test, then measured the length of solder needed. I used pure rosin flux and fluxless solder. After the first, I simply measured the solder and marked it with a sharpie. Did 'em all in just a few hours. It was harder to measure, cut, and strip than to solder.

For stripping, I cannibalized a coaxial cable stripper, and "adjusted" it for the perfect depth of cut.

If I were to do it again, I'd ensure the "Made in USA" on the cable was facing up.

you could, but not recommended. what you want is a cable with a high thread count, in the neighborhood if 400 to 600 depending on what size cables you want/need. it will do a few things for you, 1. it will be able to carry more current. and 2. it will be more flexible.

My local NAPA has the solder pellets. That's what I used to make my cables. I held the cable in contact with the the flame while heating the terminal, so that it was heated & wouldn't cool the solder down while inserting it into the lug.

I got 2G wire

I am still amazed how uncomplicated it is-

I did see where urtle used black and red shrink fit tubing to denote positive and negative ends of the cable

Now that is WAY too Cool, I could caused my neighbor to pass out, if I would have done that much thinking on it! LOL

next thing is figuring out why my headlights do not work and fixing the cv boot on the front passengers side

Once you figure it out, nothing is complicated. If it is, you just haven't figured it out yet.

I only used red and black on the battery cables. It helps me to keep from having to search for my garage glasses, which are always hiding.
