Battery Restoration?
Is there such a thing that you can put in your older batteries to give them some more life. I have seen an ad somewhere that claims to pour this liquid in cells and it will recharge the batterie for extended life. My batteries are 7 yrs old and have about had and just wondered if this is something that works . If so do you know where to get some, and would like to hear from others if they have tried it.
Thanks |

Re: Battery Restoration?
if you have some batteries that lasted 7 years.....OMG YOU need to buy a lottery ticket!!
the product you made mention is "SNAKE OIL" and will only take more money out of your wallet. the best thing you can do is to buy a new set of quality batteries. |

Click this link for good information about batteries for you. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...omparison.html
When you buy new batteries make sure you break them in properly. Here's a good link off of Scottyb's website. http://www.cartsunlimited.net/Batter...n_Methods.html |

Re: Battery Restoration?
Actually, if you try the " break in procedure " on your old batteries, it may help them quite a bit!

Re: Battery Restoration?
Attached is a list of deep-cycle batteries commonly used in golf carts.
Highest AH rated are at top and ties are listed alphabetically by brand name. In general terms, there is more differences between different grades in the same brand than there is between the same grade in different brands. The best bang for the buck is the highest AH you can afford at the best price you can find locally. Think outside the box, I special ordered my high AH Exide batteries through a local tractor supply store. |

Re: Battery Restoration?
Batteries are a huge investment, so call around, even if you have to drive an hour to get them. Don't be concerned with waiting for special orders, if it will save you money.

Re: Battery Restoration?
I found a guy locally selling T-105 (Trojan's) for $111 plus tax. Look up golf cart repair shops, small places, not "dealers"..
