problem found???
i posted awhile back about my early 80's e-z go that had no power. for some reason, it ran a bit better with the direction switch towards the middle (but wouldn't start in that position and won't charge the battery). i think i found the problem. tonite i jacked up the rear, and ran the thing. same issue, until i unhooked the exhaust pipe to the muffler. it took off like a bat outta hell. (and LOUD too). anyway, i figure the muffler is plugged up. can i fill the thing with kerosene and burn it out? i certainly don't have 200 bucks for a new one. any ideas?
thanks! |

Re: problem found???
search the forum for bbq-ing muffler.
many have torched the muffler on a hot fire, burning out the unused oil that clogs the muffler |

Sounds like a plugged muffler to me. Put it on an open fire for 30 mins and flip over for another 30 mins then knock the chunks out.
