3pg horse help
I'll start by saying I have read a lot of posts but can't find what I need. I have a 91 marathon 2 stroker that needs help. The cart runs great but it is just lacking in power, of course. I don't want to do a big block and rear end swap just yet so I'm wondering if anyone has bored the 2 stroke and put a bigger piston in? I don't know if this motor will handle it but it seems like it would. Any pics and or part numbers would be great. Thanks.

Re: 3pg horse help
Could be other reasons for power lose. Have tried adjusting the govenor?
Have you checked to make sure your carb is opening all the way up when at full throttle? Have you checked to make sure your clutches are working properly? Have you checked compression? Changed plug? Many things can give low power and you could have low power at start or at top end? Low power starts could be clutch related. rear driven clutch may not be closing up to let belt ride high for a lower gear and torque. Higher speed type power lose could be any of the other including a driven clutch that will not open all the way and even a plugged muffler. Just some thoughts to look at for a starter. |
