Default New to me 09 Gas RXV

I have been wanting to get one of these and my dealer made me an offer I could not refuse... Was not running and he told me that when I got it running if I didn't want it to bring it back. First problem was the cable going to the starter had broken off the ring terminal. Strip cable and reinstall a new ring. Then no fire to plug. New plug and hit pedal and she fired up She was a white plain jane but picked up some new shoes for her while I was there in a buying mood and dealer was in a move stuff mood. I have pictures because I know we like pics but they are on my camera at the shop. I'll get some up soon..

OK, now some questions..

1. I of course want it to go faster and messed with the governor some but not sure I did it correctly. Cart is kind of jerky at take off. What is the correct way to adjust this?

2. How do you correctly check the oil level ? Pull the dip stick and put back in until the rubber seal sits on top or do I reseat it?

3. Correct plug. It has a NGKBPR2ES in it but have seen some places it says to use a 5ES. 2 is a hotter plug but don't want too hot.

4. Oil filter substitutions ?

I am sure I will have others but these are the current ones.

Thanks for the help in advance..

here's a service manual for the RXV
https://www.dropbox.com/s/eaupmjz2b6...rts_manual.pdf

I had a long list of oil filter substitutions but can't find it now of course..
The way I did my governor was to add about three small washers to raise the governor arm above the keyed spot so it's not in use.

I have no input on this thread but had a few of the same questions as well. Would like info on the oil filters if you find it mcdave. I ordered a 2010 limo rxv that I am going to lift. Also thanks for the link on the governor as I know I will want to maximize power.

Any other opinions on the governor setup? I've adjusted the cable all the way and still just above 20 mph. Don't want much more but think it is there.

Really hate time outs... Typed in a bunch just to have it lost.. Anyway. Need a clutch for the new RXV and see they have the new team clutches out and the entire kit is cheaper than just the old style clutch. What gives?

Best price I have found online is here. I had already bought a new belt trying to get rid of a squeal with no success. Ended up buying a new TEAM driven clutch and used the rest of my old parts. Worked out well for me.

Mcdave71, on mine the drive clutch has the issue. There is a ridge in the face. My EZGo guy is looking into it but the plant is shutdown for Thanksgiving. Question I have is if I buy a new drive clutch will the old driven work and if I have to replace both, what happens to my speed?
