I have saw rebuild kits around 300 buck with all the parts you will need maybe a little more if you change all your roller bearings 10 dollars worth of sand paper will do wonders for your crank good luck which ever way you chose to go

Yeah I have cleaned a few of them free of aluminum with emery cloth and a string..shoelaces work great.

They always measure out clean, so no issues there. I make my own gaskets,
so I don't need those, and in case of a bearing being bad, Miller bearings has every bearing known to man about ten minutes from here.

Well this is my first rodeo here and i bought the reman...and they do want the core unless i want to pay 400 an keep it....lesson learned!...

It seems like a man could make some money rebuilding these engines, etc. out of his own garage and have a whole lot of fun doing it....
