2 questions
I finally got the clutch and fly wheel off my 91 2cycle:)I ordered the piston, gaskets and what I thought were the crank seals for both sides, the catalog say's fits 85 to 92 ez-go 2cycle,both sides, well I thought I was getting 2 seals but only got 1.I found a place down here(Panama) that had a seal that was the Exact same size as the one I got from the States but instead of being steel around the rubber it's made of some kind of super synthetic material.Do you guys think it will work?I don't have any way of getting a metal one down here for 3 more weeks and I'm itching to get my buggie back in action.Next question, when I pulled the piston off the crank the only parts that I took off were 2 snap rings, the connecting rod and the bearing,I looked in the manual and don't see any "caps" to hold the bearing in place,I watched the video onYou tube and the rebuild that heliarch was doing showed 2 "caps" that hold the bearing in place.Do I have a different set up or have they been missing all along? Thanks for any and all input,Panama

Re: 2 questions
Perhaps the spacers stayed on the bearing?

Re: 2 questions
91 may be a 3PG engine (I think that was the changeover year) if so your piston did not have spacers on the wrist pin.

Re: 2 questions
I have no experience with the synthetic but I would probably try it anyway. If you do then use it on the clutch side as this is the easier one to change.
