Default no power, what should i check?

hello again all, so i just finished putting the 4in lift and 22in tires on my 87 marathon, decided to take it out and try it out since the first time i got it home, just one problem, the cart will barely crawl under its own power, i checked the fuel pump and its pumping a good amout of gas, so im guessing i can rule that out, what else should i check out, could it be the carb has went bad, i know it sat for awhile before i got it. thanks in advance

I decided to just go ahead and get a new carb and sparkplug, from what I can tell the old carb is really gummed up

Jack rear up and remove belt. Run engine to see if it is reving up well and that the drive clutch is closing up. If it seems to have plenty of power and response you may have a driven clutch that will not open upon higher Rs or you may have a rear end problem, bearings, low fluid or hanging brake as once mentioned. One other remote poss is a spun wheel hub that maybe just letting it roll along but not totally holding. Granted they usually will fail and just not go but with the larger tires you maybe just on the edge.

Check crank seals. Put it back up in the air. Push the pedal down half way or so. While doing this spray some starting fluid on the clutch side of engine were the crank comes out of the case. If the engine picks up and runs better u found your problem. There is a seal on the other side but its hard to test because the fly wheel is in the way. But if one is bad the other will b also. Hope this helps

Yes I would check the seals but if you are getting good fuel flow maybe not bad. Did you do the rev without the belt on? If not, did the rear wheels stop rapidly? If so you are having poss trouble with rear end gears/bearings or brake hang. Larger wheels/tires could make this even worse in that case.
Don't know if you have did the disconnect of the muffler to check for plugging?
One other thing, have you checked to make sure your throttle is opening all the way?
Any air restriction like a nest in the tube?
