New To the Forum...Just Bought My First Cart rt

I'm looking forward to spending some time on this site in the next few months learning from the experts. I needed something to run around on 100 acres I use for hunting, cutting wood, etc. No electricity so electric wasn't an option. Been looking on CL and had an ad in the wanted section but couldn't find anything decent for a fair price. Saw a post tonight for a 97 TXT and bought it for $1500. Rolling the dice because I've seen the photo but that's it. Its been used by the second owner a true golf cart, looks in good shape, nothing fancy but is the right color, green, has new tires, and a recent (3 year old) engine rebuild).

Immediate needs and mods are going to be pretty tame--need a hitch to haul a small wagon, need some rear box for chainsaw, etc, hauling, and a floor gun rack. I would have put some knobby tires on it, but since it has new turf tires that can wait until these give out or I find out I really need some taller, beefier, tires.

Welcome to the forum! Give it a week or two and your going to be hooked and your going to have to get bigger tires, bigger lift, more mods it not going to stop! Lots of good info on here and ppl to.

I did the floor mount gun rack, and while good at first, it gets in the way. If your wanting easy access in/out from one side or the other, the gun rack makes it hard.

I'm going to relocate mine to sit just above the dash horizontally and still be easy to get to.
