1994 CLUB CAR DS Gas
Ive got a 1994 Ds gas that has a fresh rebuilt Fe 290 engine. Rode around the yard for aprox 5min and it died and will not start again. It turns over, has spark, getting fuel. Any suggestions as to what the probelem may be would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

What's the compression. Valves might not be set right. Did you rebuild it yourself

Re: 1994 CLUB CAR DS Gas
Is the air box tight and pushed up against choke housing. I've seen battery's push the air box back some

Body is off the car so the choke housing is not hooked up. Has good compression. Fuel pump is pumping good fuel and has spark when i pull the plug and turn it over. I have removed the brown wire from the rev limiter and tried that too. Clueless now!

pull the plug and hook it up then ground it against the engine and see if the spark stays constant or cuts out. I had one today that the igniter wire from the coil grounded out and it would spark for a second then lose spark as soon as the engine tried to fire. Once I pulled the wire off the coil it fired right up.

Im gonna try and mess with it again. I havent tried pulling the black wire from the coil yet. It didnt even start with starting fluid. It has to be something electric keeping it from running.
