Default Club Car Carouche ran fine then pfffft

something weird going on with my Club Car Carouche...batteries appear to be charged - tested with multi meter all read charged...turning the key on the charge gauge reads zero...light switch does not turn on lights...so the batteries are charged but neither the switch nor the lights work...something is funky but in looking over the wiring, all the connections seem intact/clean/tight...I have no idea where to begin troubleshooting this...something is burnt out I'm guessing but how to find out what it is...any help would be appreciated...thanks! JD from Iowa

Do your lights run though your key switch too? Start at the switch. The nice thing about those carts is the lack of computers.

the lights run independently of the switch and they do not work

the cart does not run

the gauge which shows the charge shows 0 charge

individually the batteries all show that they are charged - using a multi meter

Hi Steve

Thanks for the idea...do they have inline fuses of which you are aware?

I'm not sure of any inline fuses have not found any one the one I just tore down. I believe not 100% that one of the solenoids in the pack under the seat acts as the master for the power. May want to check all of those see if you are getting power though them.

not familiar with Carouche . . just mentioned fuse because you state lights do not work either . . figured something between batteries and system failed which could be an inline fuse or ground wire . . .

THanks for all the helpful hints and suggestions...I'm going to test those solenoids - there are several...maybe 4...let's hope there's a dead one, if not, I'll be back!
