Default Ordered new secondary clutch for G2

I just ordered a new secondary clutch for my G2. Anyone have any pointers to make removal/assembly smoother? This will be my first time removing/installing a clutch on a cart. Thanks in advance!

You'll need one of these, or something like it.

Yep, they can be a bear to remove. I actually made a couple pullers like that one and bent them both trying too remove the clutch on a G1 rear differential before getting it to come loose. So they can be very hard to remove sometimes, even with the right tool.

Ok guys, i got the old clutch off, no problem. Now i can't get the new spring cup on, the old one slides on and off with ease, this new one wont even start going on. I dont want to hit it, scared i will break it. Any suggestions?

Clean up the splines good. Check them for rough spots on the leading edge. You may have too take a file to the leading edge of them. Even though the clutch is new you may check them as well.

Also, check both the new and old one counting the splines to make sure they didn't send you the wrong one by mistake.

I counted the splines and they are correct. I didnt have much light earlier so i will give it another go in the morning. Also the instructions mention a snapring and spacer, I saw the spacer but no snapring, is that normal? They also say to install the spring at B3, I see the 3 on the spring cup but do not see any letters on the sheave, how do i know which hole to use? Here are picture of the old clutch, i'd say this replace was long overdue.
