Motor Options- Curtis 1510 Code 4 - DS IQ
I have a DS IQ with that needs a motor. Controller is a Curtis 1510 programmed to code 4. I had the AMD 3294 on another DS w/ 1510
and it worked pretty good, but didn't have much torque on stock tires. Interested in what options I might have and any first hand experience would be helpful. I am not really looking to change controllers at this time and I am holding off on my wheels/tires purchase until I have this motor thing figured out. Thanks -Bill |

Even though I have no first hand experience with them, but based on what I've seen on here- PQ Bandit.

If you have a motor you can send it to PQ tell them what you are looking for and what you have. I think you will be satisfied.

I doubt that the PQ bandit motor will be BETTER than a 3294 motor, and since PQ does not and will not publish any motor HP ratings and RPM data it's just a guess on how close it compares.
They are both good motors the PQ is cheaper and the 3294 I think is a 5.5 hp motor. whatever you pick let us know how it does |

I don't have a motor to send in to be rebuilt.
Has anyone used the AMD #7177 ? The #3294 would bog down and even stall going up hills and would require a head on running start. |

Then more than likely you had other problems the PQ bandit will not do better than the 3294 motor and the 7177 states you should use a bigger controller

If you don't have a motor. For a extra 125.00 PQ will add that to the 225.00
