Default Re: 99 Club Car Carryall 2, need lift and tires/wheels

We just rebuilt the suspension on a Carryall 2.
Basically used HD Rear Springs and HD Front Leaf Spring for a Club Car DS.
New Shocks the same.
We ended up cutting all the rear leaf spring attach bolts out as they were rusted to heck. New 3 1/2"X 3/8 galvy bolts with Lock nuts and your good.
Same with the old shocks but other than that which can be expected, everything went right in.

[QUOTE=Tomfl;1235438]DKB, great info thank you.

Care to share a pic or two?

Thanks!

The tires are Carlisle All-trail II 24"x9.5"x10" Keep in mind when removing the rear wheels to mark the rims as rear as they are 1" deeper than the front rims. If you accidently install the rear rims on the front, the tires will rub the tie rods.

What if the Carryall has front breaks, just a 6" Jakes kit for breaks and still not sure what wheels are needed for the front

Great info guys thank you.

Extremkartz, just got done replacing all the suspension bushings in prep for a lift kit and I broke the forwar rear leaf spring bolt too. It was frozen into the frame from corrosion. Wound up drilling it out with a smaller drill bit then moved up larger. Eventually it came out without any damage to frame but what a PITA.
