Default 1984 Club Car Electric Input Shaft

Hello all,

I have a 1984 club car that about an hour after I picked it up started to slip. I pulled the rear end and motor to find the input shaft complete worn, was a bit laughable that it held at all. Given the age of this cart it appears replacements of this part have long been discontinued - Anyone know where I can find these kind of parts - I have scoured as best I know how and called a number of parts houses only to be told no go. Any assistance / guidance in getting this thing back up and going would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

That doesn't look worn to me. It would need to be round to be slipping. I see plenty of spline left.

The picture may not be great but the splines tremendously worn - if you follow from the end of the input shaft you can see them get much smaller as they move through the shaft. That said any thoughts on where I might get my hands on one? Also the drive on the motor seems worn as well - may be able to replace that easier if you feel there is enough spline to support it
