Speed after controller installation
I just finished installing an altrax xtx48500 on my cart along with a heavy duty solenoid and 2 gauge wires. Yesterday the cart would run 16/17mph.
After controller, the torque is insane but it still tops out at 16/17mph. I have a PQ executioner on order which is why i installed the controller. I also know they don't recommend 500amps to a stock motor. Other then the test run, i don't plan on using the cart until the motor comes. My last cart did 19 with a speed magnet, I was assuming i would be around 19 once this controller bypassed the speed code etc. Am I missing something? Thanks, Barry |

Re: Speed after controller installation
My stock Precedent did 22.5 mph with just the XCT installed. Maybe your batteries are weak or there is something wrong with the speed magnet.

Re: Speed after controller installation
Batteries are not great, but I can feel the cart pulling hard from 0mph-12 then it feels like something cuts in and pulls power... at full speed it feels like it's being limited and wants to go faster...

Re: Speed after controller installation
In the flat lands of South Florida you should easily get 23-25 w/o the speed magnet connected. Maybe the speed limit is set too low in the software

When you say "without the speed magnet connected" what do you mean? I'm going to borrow a buddies laptop. I have all Mac OS |

Re: Speed after controller installation
You definitely need to connect a laptop to the controller to check the settings, like rpm limit and max current.
You will also need it to change the motor map when You get Your new Executioner motor. You can use the speed calculator on the Quick Links bar to determine the max rpm setting You want, Just use Your tire diameter and 12.3 for the "final gear ratio". |

Re: Speed after controller installation
Another thing is you probably need to do the auto-cal on the throttle.

It should be set on uni-map, which is the map I will be using for the executioner. Could that map be why the stock motor is acting the way it is? |
