Honestly I'm stumped on a new driven clutch being that easy to move by hand because it should be very hard to "twist" by hand.By the way did you happen to see this thread (sticky in Ezgo gas section)? Click here.......> http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/ezgo-...en-clutch.html

"use 120 degrees of preload, and the middle spring setting" (copied from post # 20 in shorter belt thread) is referring to part of the driven clutch reassembly after rebuilding;it has 3 different spring seat holes that can be chosen while the clutch is taken apart by removing the snap ring & cam EXTREME CAUTION MUST BE USED WHEN SNAP RING IS REMOVED TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY FROM SPRING LOADED FLYING PARTS!! I would try the shorter belt since a new clutch should be ready to go with no adjustments.

That is great to hear.I wonder if a new or stronger (torque) spring in your drive (front) clutch would complete the fix(?),hopefully somebody else will chime in with opinion.

Now that's what it's all about!!!!I am so glad you got it going for him and honored that I could help a little bit along the way .Just be careful & safe climbing up steep hills with the extra torque provided by the short belt & 28* clutch.Have fun & enjoy all the smiles!!
