Smile EZGO won't start, putting flames through carb

Hi, I'm new to this so I apologise in advance if I'm doing something wrong. First time working on a EZGO buggy, engine is turning over fine but not starting. It appears to be blowing flames back through the carb when turning over. Is it possible the timing is out or what checks are recommended.

Owner of this buggy has recently fitted new coil pack and leads along with new Carbarettor.

Any idea's / tips would be great, Thanks.

Yup set valve lash to .004" these are known for intake valves getting tight

Thanks for the comments, have adjusted valve settings and some were indeed a little tight, unfortunately has not solved my problem. Tested the psi on both cylinders and cyl 1 giving a reading of 155 psi with cyl 2 giving 125 psi.

Any other advise please.

I would check that the cambelt is timed correctly first. Then if still flaming out of carb, take head off and inspect inlet valve heads. Most likely extremely worn. Especially if you have leaks at the air filter.
