Why not install a breaker to turn off the accessories this way the draw is eliminated. Battery will last longer and load on the battery tender.

That is counter to what we were hashing out. We do want the accessories running so how do we compensate for the drain.
Sunday my battery needed replacement so I found a 34-78 battery with 800cca and three year free replacement warranty. My dash voltmeter is back to reading 12.5-12.6 at rest and I conected it to the switched accessory lead on the ignition switch. No unnecessary drain now either. Not sure why I hardwired it into the system in the first place. Too much cold for my brain maybe. |
