So far the only thing I have going for me, is that I work in a aluminum fab shop. Going to make a bracket so that the throttle cable pulls from the back. Then add a spring to the front to pull the carb back closed when I let up on the gas pedal. I ordered a new carb and fuel filter also. Just need to get a cable with the "eye" already on it. I mocked one up with a wire end eye to get the throttle working . After I get it running. I need to do a break job. Currently, it has no breaks.

Welding in the cart could have burned up the ignitor.

You had a lot of stuff disconnected. Are you sure that the coil wires are all still connected?

Did you use the troubleshooting values in the back of the manual to test the coil?

I've got spark back. Just that it's really weak. I put a new ground terminal on the battery and cleaned the frame with a sanding disk. Going to try and clean the rest of the grounding points. Maybe even try a new plug wire and plug.

Well, that didn't work. Is it possible the coil went bad? Or the igniter?

Anything is possible, but I have my doubts.

How is the battery voltage?

You can check the coil for ohm values in the book. There is no test for the ignitor box.
