Default 89 36 volt motor

I have taken motor apart to repair a burnt post , I am having a problem releasing the case from the armature , I currently have it soaking to see if that frees it from the case , Do I need to have it pressed out or can I hammer it out?

I re did one I'm not sure if there all the same but there were 4 screws in the back that had to come out and then with alot finess I got it to.come apart,Didnt need a press or anything but mine was pretty stuck

Ok thanks I know I unscrewed 4 screws from the inside .I have it soaking in some wd 40 and have the brushes being sent by mail. So I will apply some heat and see if it lets go in a few days .

I never did get it apart,but i managed to squeeze the new brushes in the motor and went with that thanks for responding
